Saw an article on Yahoo about Dewey filing for bankruptcy today… and most of the comments are “ha!”, “lawyers suck”, “they deserve it” or along those lines.
I seriously resent that.
When they run into a problem, are sitting in a sell, can’t figure out legalese, they run to a lawyer.
not all lawyers become politicians.
not all lawyers charge 1,000 per hour.
not all lawyers are cheating and over charging clients.
Do all McDonald workers fail college? Do all doctors smoke pot and get high? Do all business people sit around only to go out and play golf?
Then why overgeneralize lawyers? Why does everyone think that people who to go law school go into the profession to get rich? Do they even know that most lawyers don’t make a six figure salary? It’s only those who are like the top 10 of their class who get paid those very very nice 6~7 figure salaries. “Paid too much” - 1. read the above 2. then don’t get a lawyer. Have fun defending/prosecuting by yourself. “This is the only profession that creates work for itself out of nothing” - …. you’re kidding me. I hope this person has had personal experience in prosecuting or defending before they decided to type this out. “nothing” you say… well I guess some people don’t give a rat’s ass about the law.
/end of bitter rant.
